While teaching at University of Rwanda, I developed a “flipped” class to analyze existing household survey data. At populationsurveyanalysis.com, you will find downloadable videos, quizzes, and PDF materials that can be used in low- or high-bandwidth settings, by learners who speak English as their first or fifth language. These materials support researchers to develop a question, perform a logistic regression analysis, and interpret their results with existing household survey data. I used these materials in a graduate course, as well as a series of early-career researcher workshops which resulted in more than a dozen first-time first-author publications by Rwandan researchers.
